Gloucester City Hockey Club (GCHC) is a field hockey club based close to the
heart of the City of Gloucester.
Formed in 1897 during the past 123 years of its often-nomadic bases, the
club has enjoyed rich success, more often leading the way in the West
Country.
The club enjoys a thriving ladies and men’s sections, supporting 9 adult
teams in total (5 ladies & 4 men’s).
The Ladies First Team compete in the England Hockey’s Women’s Hockey League
Division 1 North tier
The remaining 4 ladies teams all compete in The West Clubs’ Hockey League.
The 4 men’s teams compete in the Verde Recreo Hockey League.
GCHC Junior Section has teams of all ages from U8.
The U12’s & U10’s compete in regular local tournaments while our U14’s play in the Avon Junior Hockey League.
GCHC actively encourages the progression and development of all members
of the club on their journey of fun, belonging and excelling; we believe
that the talent pathway starts at the grass roots level.
As a club we are proud of our heritage, passionate about Hockey, and most
importantly at GCHC we value being the difference and making hockey
accessible to everyone within our community.
