GCHC is pleased to introduce a new hockey scheme for our younger players of the future – Hockey Tykes!
Hockey Tykes is a course for absolute beginners aged 4-7yrs.
The course starts Wednesday at 7th June between 4 and 5pm, and will run for 6.
Children will be taught to play in a safe environment, at Plock Court Sports Park, with emphasis on both having fun and learning the essential core skills needed for the sport. Parents, Carers and Guardians are encouraged to stay during the sessions and will be welcomed pitch side.
Players will be asked to wear sports kit, trainers & bring a non-fizzy drink in a plastic container. Shin pads are required as mandatory safety equipment. If your child has their own stick please bring it along to use, but if they do not don’t worry we have equipment to use that they can take home along with a ball. Practice at home is encouraged but please bring the equipment to every session.
In the case of inclement weather the session/s will run on a spare indoor tennis court.

The course fee of £25 is to be paid in full by Wednesday May 10th.

Applications will be confirmed by email once payment of the course fee is received. The course is for a maximum of 20 children. If it becomes oversubscribed we will consider a second course in the Autumn.
